Game DVR Glitches out if I switch windows while watching a recording in full screen

Every time I watch a recorded video in full screen and switch windows to write notes, when I switch back to the recording Game DVR glitches out. It closes the full screen video I was watching, then switches to the most recently recorded video and begins
playing that one from the beginning.

I find this really irritating since I cannot see what is going on when it is in windowed mode so I need to use full screen to view it clearly.

I also cannot get to the part I was watching very easily since the locations available for me to jump to can be up to 10-20 seconds before the part I want to examine.

With both of these issues I have become a bit stressed. I use this program for long periods of time to analyze gameplay, but this little issue is making me waste a good amount of time just getting back to what I need to take notes on.

If there is some easy fix like a change in settings I would like to know, if not I would really appreciate it if this was changed so that it either does not glitch out, or at least it just closes out of full screen and stays at the same part of the video.
The program changing videos on its own is really really irritating!

Game DVR not recording

I know the game DVR has issues recording windowed mode games. I've personally had it work one moment, and not work the next - the only thing I've seemed to be able to do is use the keyboard shortcuts in full screen mode to try and start the recording. The
default is Windows Key + R. If it works the screen should dim for a second.

 

Does anyone know how to edit video and put it back on your xbox one?

From the Game DVR screen within the Xbox app, you can access and edit all game clips recorded on Windows 10, as well as clips shared from your Xbox One. Editing in the Xbox app is restricted to Trim at this time. For more info:

Hey, DutifulHealer52! Sorry to see you're running into this issue. This sounds like an issue with the Xbox App itself. That being the case, go to the Store on your PC and get the Xbox Beta App. From there, run through the same processes to see if the same
thing happens.

If it does, then submit feedback through the app by clicking on the smiley face. That will get what you're running into directly to the team that works on this. Hopefully that helps you out!
