Game DVR Freeze Issues

You would have the Preview Registration app installed your Xbox One if you signed up.

 

Not apart of that, then. Had it freeze last night. Only did a few "Xbox record that's" and one 5 minute clip. No issues with the voice command clips but the 5 minute (which actually always turns out to be closer to 4 minutes) froze the system for a bit.
Only for about 45 seconds or so not as long as other times. I also was more patient and did not hit as many buttons on the controller.

I keep thinking about exchanging it but I really do not think this is a hardware issue. This seems to me like a software thing.

What are your thoughts?

 

Using the 5 minute DVR recording I have noticed does slow the system down a little, but you should be able to quickly double press the guide button to return to the game while the clip finishes. I guess the only other option to try before sending your Xbox
off would be to try a factory reset.

 

Today happens to be the last day I can exchange at Best Buy. Would not have to send it in but with that said, I do not think this is hardware related. I think if it did fix it would be because I have a fresh OS install. The factory reset seems like a decent
solution. Sucks because I'll have to reinstall everything but I would have to do that with an exchange anyway. Maybe I'll do this all tonight. I'll report back.

Did a factory reset (not as bad as I thought it was going to be). Still having the same issue when I snap the DVR for a 5 minute clip. They record just fine though and do not have any issues when I say "Xbox record that". Heres hoping they get this fixed
in a patch soon. Seems like it's on the software end of things. Console seems just fine other than this odd quirk. Everything else works great too.

 

Bf4 dvr freezes my console all the time.
