Game DVR Error: "Sorry We Couldn't Record That (0x82323012)"

I have the most current software updates, but the Game DVR will not record when I select "End Recording" or "Start Recording". When I click either of these options, I receive the error message: Sorry We Couldn't Record That (0x82323012)

The only record option that works is the voice command "Xbox Record That". If I say this and then press the Xbox Home button, I will receive a notification that the clip has recorded. While having 30 second of playtime is better than nothing, I really
wanted to be able to record full 5 minute clips.

I have already tried hard restarting the system, unplugging it, etc. but nothing changes and I keep getting this
0x82323012 error. It also does not matter which game I am playing (Dead Rising, Assassin's Creed, Titanfall) they all fail to record.



Any help from someone who has fixed this? Or help from Microsoft? I have read over all similar threads, but none of them seem to have actual solutions.

Error 0x82323012 occurs when you try to use Game DVR on Xbox One
You see the following error code and message when trying to use the Game DVR feature on Xbox One:

Note You may get this error because some games disable the recording of gameplay by default. You won't be able to make clips of these titles.

Solution
To resolve this problem, make sure that you have enabled game captures on your console. Here's how:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All settings.
4. Under Preferences, select Game DVR & Streaming.
5. Select Allow broadcasts and game captures.

I have done this and checked this multiple times, I deleted old videos and nothing seems to be working still.

 

Same problem, i can't record anymore.

 

Same problem too everytine i play a game and start recording and it says caputing be it dont do nothing

 

mine won't even record from the voice command it's been like this since the last update

I have noticed that a workaround in the comments from
xbox one wont record game dvr error 0x82323012 and you can follow the method to fix this problem by deleting some videos in your upload studios.

 

thanks i tried that, but it didnt work. i only have 3 vids anyways. are you having the same prob?

 

Still having the same issue? Ran into the same problem myself with only 25 clips active in my library (so I knew it wasn't caused by a video storage issue). On a hunch that it might help, I cleared the cache (hold the power button on the console down for
about 15 seconds) and sure enough, worked just fine after I booted it back up.

 

Ive been having this issue since ive had my xbox one. Ive always just figured my connection was slow. But I really dont know. I cant record anything with my dvr. Can anyone help ive tried all that has been stated above

Sorry to hear about the DVR issues. Lets see what we can do to help get this issue sorted. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps if you haven't tried them already.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
  
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and press the Start button on your controller.
• Select Settings and then select Preferences.
• Make sure that Record gameplay with Game DVR is checked.
  

Give the suggested steps a try and let us know if you are able to record video clips.

 

This issue still exists and needs to be addressed with a software fix. Doing a hard reset and power disconnection does not fix it for me, the only thing that fixes it is uninstalling and reinstalling Upload Studio, but then it'll just break itself again
after a day or two.

The Xbox One OS is still a buggy piece of crap that the developers at Microsoft should all feel shame for having released.

 

I go to settings and preferences,and I see no option to "Record Gameplay with Game DVR" option.

The only options I have are

"Allow play to streaming"

and

"Allow broadcasts and Game DVR uploads"

Both of which enabled.

What do?

 

When I was getting an error making clips manually, I tried disabling "Allow broadcasts and Game DVR uploads", rebooting, enabling it, and then rebooting again.
