Game DVR does not record audio

    Game DVR Not Recording Audio

    Ever since the update the Game DVR does not record audio. It records video, with total silence. I'm not the only one affected. I recorded 6 clips from Destiny and more from Forza Horizon 2. Silence.

    Game DVR does not record audio

    if u have ur speakers setup to anything other than stereo game dvr doesnt record any game audio

    i had mine setup to 4.1 setup and it only recorded my chat voice.. put it to 2.0 stereo and it picks it up..

    also if ur using a headset to play games on make sure its your default device and default communication device

    yeah the in game audio, if my TV is up loud does that mean the DVR is recording the audio equally as loud?

    No, your specific TV volume will not change the recorded volume of in-game sound on DVR. With certain external video editing software, It seperates the video track from the audio, allowing adjustment of sound level, as well as the adding of more audio tracks
    (I.E., music, voice-over, etc), in which custom adjust of volume can be made as well.

    DVR not recording sound

    IF the game plays audio fine, and you then start the DVR recording then you should record audio fine. This is not the case since they did that 1404 update.

    I found that if you did a reset the DVR was recording audio again.

    Power down the machine. Unplug the power from the back till the power block light

    changes to orange. Plus back in, and reboot. It worked for me.
