Game DVR clips deleting after getting notifications on them being saved

Ever since i got the new update, every now and then the xbox one will delete my game clips on its own. For the longest time i've gotten the error for a while that says "sorry we could not record that'. Now i actually get notifications saying the game clip
has recorded, but the clip is immediately deleted when i try to watch it. This is ridiculous, i am always recording game clips, and there have been so many times that it has either failed to record the clip or it WILL record it, and when i go to watch the
clip it'll be deleted on its own.

game dvr wont upload clips to xbox live. ive made sure i have no clips saved anywere. so its nouthing to do with space. the clips i make are getting saved but i cant sare them in any way. i keep getting a msg saying unable to upload clip to xbox live.

DVR Not recording

I had same issue of the dvr not recording when i requested ' xbox record that' I was getting the notification saying that the clip was being recorded however there was no notification saying that the recording had ended. However the dvr recorded automatically
when being promoted etc.

My fix was the snap the game dvr while playing the game so that its on in the background. Now all my xbox record that requests are now being saved and ready for editing

G'day sandman, sorry to hear about the game clips disappearing! Let's try the following to get your console squared away:

With the console on and all progress saved, hold the console's power button for 5-10 seconds. This will completely shut down the console.

Wait 30 seconds & then start the console again by pressing the same button.

Launch a game, play for a bit, and try "Xbox Record That" one more time to see if the clip saves.

Let us know the results!

I've done that plenty of times. It does fix the issue, but only temporarily. I am still constantly having this issue. Pretty much this is what happens. I'll reset the xbox, then it'll record a few clips, but after a couple hours of gameplay it'll rinse and
repeat. For example, yesterday, i said xbox record that 15 times. I got 15 notifications. Only 5 of the 15 game clips were saved. This is very frustrating.

The amount of time is around 40 day or so. But you need to go in to the Game DVR and select each one you want to save.

They are saved to the game DVR but unless as Daft Badger says you go in to the game DVR and select the once you want to keep in for all times you need to select them again and select save they will get a light colored edge around them these will not be
deleted after 40 day.

Extra tip:

Creat a game clip from certain clips together via the upload studio app and save this one.

Plus you can also save them to you One Drive.

NENGaming

Automatic game recordings are deleted after a while if you don't save them. But if you wish to turn the feature off go to settings/preferences and untick Record gameplay with game DVR. Whether this disables game DVR as a whole I don't know, I've not tried
it. Also whilst in preferences untick Show all other notifications.
