    Game DVR - browsing clips is unresponsive when online


    I've been using my console offline for a few days because my internet connection was too slow to do anything online, so I could not download the new update until then. The great thing of being offline was that, when browsing through my screenshots/content
    in Game DVR, using the bumpers to go left and right between screenshots was INSTANT and the button was responsive.

    The same is not true online. Using the bumpers basically does nothing until you mash them repeatedly and get lucky and have the Game DVR go left or right, but it will skip screenshots in the process. I am guessing this is because the cloud is incredibly slow
    and the Xbox is actually asking for a whole pile of information on the next screenshot (which is stored on your hard drive!), before it can actually load the thing. The result is that Game DVR is a total chore to use. It's a horrible app. The ability to save
    screenshots and videos is great, but in practice managing your content is horrible.

    Please can this aspect of browsing and managing content be brought up to par. I don't believe it's too much to ask that 2 years after launch we can load screenshots in the same manner as users might browse photos on their computer, or browse screenshots on
    a service like Steam - which is instant, responsive, functional, easily managed, and still uses their cloud servers to support it.

    We are continuing to investigate audio issues when playing some Game DVR clips on some Android devices/OS versions. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback on devices/OS versions where you are encountering this.

    @Smartee, while some Android devices have an issue where audio does not play when watching game DVR clips, we have not seen this issue on any iOS devices. Is this happening on all game DVR clips?

    When I first got my Xbox, the game DVR was flawless. Recording clips in PvZ, Bf4, and Titanfall. But lately the only time the DVR works is when im playing games offline, and it automatically records certain moments. But as soon as you go online or try to
    manually record a clip in any form, it just wont respond. Yelling "xbox record that," the dialog box pops up, but does not record any amount of time, nor does the 5min-30sec manual record works. The Game DVR is more frustrating then anything!

    What happened to Five minutes?

    I think the game DVR is on automatically.... and it always looping.... when you start a new clip... it kind of rsets the 5 minute clock to that point..... but yeah Fatal.. you need to open the Game DVR (not upload studio) and do what flare said....

    the luxury of having the XB on while watching TV...

    when you GOTO GAME DVR.. you have 3 options.... END CLIP OW, START NEW CLIP, SHOW MY CLIPS.... the END CLIP NOW then has 5 options... keep the last 30 seconds 45 seconds 1 minute 3 minutes or the full 5 minutes...
