Game DVR audio and video out of sync.

Xbox one game DVR out of sync sorry its a long read but its been an on going issue that i wont give up on as theres others with the same issue.

had the console from new and as soon as I worked out how to record my gameplay I made a few recordings. I then realised the audio and video were either completely out of sync or there was no audio at all.

First of all I checked online to see if anyone else had the issue and found some had but were blaming an update. So I waited for the next update.

Then two of my friends and my brother in-law all got a xbox one, I asked if they had issues with recording game play and they hadn't. Now I was getting a little worried and decided to contact xbox support.

I was told to do the following:

5 second reset on the power button. This did not fix the issue

full power reset. Turn the console off. Unplug the power supply press the on button to empty all power from the power pack then wait a few minuets and plug everything back in and try again.

This did not fix the issue

Then tried deleting all videos that I had made in case they were corrupting the newer videos.

This did not fix the issue

Factory reset the console this did not fix the issue

unplugged all other devices from the TV. This did not fix the issue.

tried a different profile on the xbox. We had the same outcome.

Went into the router settings to open the necessary ports on my virgin media router. This did not fix the issue.

Plugged the xbox directly into the wall on its own rather than in a power bar with 3 other plugs. This did not fix the issue.

Tried it on an LG TV a Panasonic TV and a bush TV. The issue didn't change.

I then went to my friends house using his sky broadband internet his bush TV his xbox and his leads and logged in to my account and made a recording. It recorded perfect. We then unplugged his xbox and plugged mine into his leads TV and then made a
recording. Sure enough it was out of sync. We again tried another account on my xbox while at his house sure enough again the recording was out of sync. Checked all our settings matched & they did.

Xbox support then advised I request a repair/advance exchange. I went for the advance exchange and had a new console sent to me. This arrived without the HDMI sticker on the front which I thought was odd but went ahead with the set-up and installed
my games. Then made a recording. Unbelievable!! its still out of sync! Contacted xbox support again. We went through all the steps again that we did with the previous console with once again no luck. She asked if I was a preview member which I am not.

She then suggested I set the display to 720p and try that. This didn't fix the issue.

Then we tried clearing persistent storage in the blue ray settings. This didn't fix the issue.

We were running out of options. I then had a call a few days later to say there's been an update released download that and see if it fixes the issue. I did so and then made a recording. Wow it works its recorded. I then closed the game and turned
the console off using the controller turned it back on and made a recording and to both mine and the lady on the phones despair it was out of sync again.

I was told it was 1000/1 chance of getting 2 faulty consoles with the same issue but it seems I was very unlucky so we went for another advance exchange. One again the now 3rd console arrived again without the HDMI sticker on the front even
though its supposed to be brand new.

Set the console up installed my games made a recording and found they too were out of sync and most of them had no audio at all.

Contacted xbox support again 1 hour on the phone later and I am still no closer to having a fully working xbox. Im currently waiting to hear from the engineers as the case has been escalated.

So in short its 3 xboxs 3 tvs 2 sets of leads 3 accounts 2 internet providers that work with friends consoles but not mine

How do you fix game DVR audio being out of sync?! I love watching my clips in upload however, the audio is about 2.5 seconds faster than the picture.

Hello everybody. I am a normal user of the Game DVR feature, but I've come across an issue. My first clip ever was in Destiny, and it worked perfectly. My second clip was in Halo: MCC, also worked perfectly. But ever since then, the audio in the clips are
at least 2 seconds behind what's happening. Whether it's on MCC or GTA V, even Minecraft, the audio is out of sync. I have no idea how to fix this. Anyone else with this issue and a possible cure?

 

I'm having the exact same issue, Have been for a very long time. I've deleted most of my clips because there's just no point if the audio is off. And it seems to be getting worse and worse. I've tried all of the above as well and neither has worked for me.

Microsoft needs to find out what's causing this issue and fix it ASAP. It's on of the Xbox One's flagship features and it's been broke since the start!
