    Game DVR and Total War Series


    Hello,

    Has anyone tried to record any of the Total War games through Steam using the Xbox Game DVR on Windows 10? I've pretty much tried every game and can't get the gamebar to pop up in full screen mode and windowed mode.

    Game DVR not working ( This PC can't record Clips) i used to record...but it is nor working even if i have nvidia 610M

    Sorry, your laptop does not meet the requirements for Game DVR features. You would need at least a GeForce 800M series since the Anniversary Update.

    To record game clips with Game DVR on Windows 10, you need one of these video cards:

    - AMD: AMD Radeon HD 7700 series, HD 7700M series, HD 8500 series, HD 8500M series, R9 series, and R7 series or later.

    - NVIDIA: GeForce 600 series or later, GeForce 800M series or later, Quadro Kxxx series or later.

    - Intel: Intel HD graphics 4200 or later, Intel Iris Graphics 5100 or later.

    Total War

    The battles in the Total War series are huge in scale. Reducing them to small squads or insta-kill missile strikes may keep a strategy element but for me would remove the feeling of being a general in total control of your army. It'd be more like playing
    a God game than a Total War game.

    In all honesty the only good console RTS I've played, the one that really got the controls, the feeling of command, and the options correct, is Command and Conquer on the Sega Saturn.

    Which is your favorite videogame genre?

    Love my RPS's and FPS especially when those are put together (metro series). But I like to play strategic games here and there like total war is one of my favorites.

    Non Xbox, but the Total War series had some pretty dam good strategic AI to counter what you would do in a battle

    Yeah, RTSs and strategy game in general are made for PC for the most part. As for Xbox I think the only strategy games not mentioned was Supreme Commander 1 and 2. If you haven't already tried them out.



    If you do go PC though check out some Paradox's RTSs, Men of War series, Total War series, Blizzards RTSs and there's a couple more but those are the most popular ones.
