Game doesn't see a gamepad

Hi guys, there is some strange issue.

The xbox game itself doesn't see gamepad. The main menu of console is okay, all of the buttons are active. But if I started the game, none of the buttons work.... The only one button works jn a game is that Light X return to menu button.

How it can be? What can I do?

Upd. Just checked and realized it happens only to RDR2. Tried GTA V - no issues.....

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Odd that this is happening with just Rockstar games. Since this is happening with multiple games to fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

I have done all the steps up to selecting the XNA Gamepad because it doesn't appear in the game controller window.

What kind of headphones is your son using? These are connected to the gamepad/controller or to the USB on the Xbox One?

Also, if you start a party chat on the console, does it detect a Microphone or you see on the screen something like "No microphone was detected on these users"? For checking this :

- Power on the XBOX

- Press XBOX Button on the gamepad

- Press left two times

- Start group

And you should see that message in there in case that it doesn't detect a microphone.
