Game does not start: error 0x803f8001

I bought a game code for Read Dead Redemption for XBOX One. I activated it in the store and it worked. I Installed it from the store but when i start it, i get the error 0x803f8001. If i uninstall it, it won't show up under my games as installable, but in
the store it shows up as owned and can be installed from there without problems. Things i tried:

- reinstall

- remote account from xbox one and readded it

What can i do about this?

Thank you for keeping us updated. I'm glad to hear that you are able to launch the game now. Honestly, I think the purchase of the DLC and the game starting to work are unrelated. I think it may have been a coincidence since that DLC is completely optional.
It doesn't add any story elements either, or any missions.

Ok, i just bought a 0,95€ DLC (Golden Guns Weapon Pack) to see if it changes anything and now i can finally start and play the game. This is just ridiculous.

Hello,

i already know that page, but nothing there is helpful at all. It's not a disc game, it's not bought from microsoft store, it's not owned by someone else, because there is no other account on my xbox but my own. After the soft reset i went to the store and
it showed up like i could buy the game. I did (just because i am getting tired of this) but it just said that i already own it and now i am back at the same point. I can install it, but i can not play it.

The error code when searched on our website does have its very own page for support, it can be found here at our
error 0x803F8001 occurs when you launch an Xbox One game website.

Try following the steps provided within the support article for direct assistance with the error.
