Discus and support Game Disc Wouldn't read? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; when i powered on my xbox one for the first time today after being on instant on my madden 15 disc would read from my xbox one nor was i connected to...     Game Disc Wouldn't read?


    when i powered on my xbox one for the first time today after being on instant on my madden 15 disc would read from my xbox one nor was i connected to xbox live. I called up and they had me power cycle the system by holding down the console button for 10
    seconds and after i did that it connected me to xbox live and the game read perfectly fine. anybody know the cause of this or have any info? thanks

    This seems to solve 90% of all Xbox One issues. Handy to know. Game Disc Wouldn't read? :)

    Your guess is as good as good as anyones. The amount of hard resets I've had to do for unexplained glitches is unbelievable. But it always seems to help. Guess they are still ironing out the gremlins huh?

    so the system not reading the game disc has nothing to do with hardware issues if the power cycle fixed the problem right away?

    I own forza 5 on my xbox series s but dont have enough space on my windows 10 to download it. Can I use a forza 5 xbox key/CD to play it on my windows even if it only says for xbox?

    The discs are made to only be read by the console. So the PC wouldn't be able to read it.

    Xbox One Installing Disk Noise?

    If it only happens while installing it is probably nothing to worry about. I wouldn't consider sending it in for this because it may just be the drive reading the disc. Installing a game is the only time the console does any serious disc reading.

    You're getting a disc read error from a downloaded game?

    I'm assuming you didn't get a copy from the internet, rip it to a disc and try to play that because it... well wouldn't work.
