Game Disc tied dlc.

So I have a game that had disc tied dlc but when I moved to my series x, the dlc didnt install when I was reinstalling my games. This is on the same account but two differnt consoles. I currently don’t have that disc anymore but own the game digitally. Is there any way to transfer the dlc from the old console to my new consloe without the disc? Thanks.

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. Unfortunately you won't be able to get the DLC in the new console because once you purchase a disc version of a game or DLC the license of the purchase is linked to the disc so you won't be able to move it to another console without the disc.

I do not believe so. The DLC disc is tied to the purchased version of the game itself.

Your save game and any DLC is tied to your profile, so it doesn't matter what disc you play it on, it will still work

Actual DLC, things like Shivering Isles, Borderlands DLC, Fallout DLC personally i think tis great for gaming though theres alot of rubbish and alot of just paying to unlock something thats on disc. I think Bioshock 2 had that problem.

Sorry to hear it. However, DLC discs are only packaged with the game and can only work with the game disc. I'm afraid you'll need to purchase the DLC if you would like to use it.

Hey, yes, thanks. I did buy the disc - the entire set game plus extra modules - but I guess my question is whether the game data is tied to the original game source? Can I change that?
