Game (disc) loading freezes the restarts console

hi all,

This is doing my head in. Read all the forums and even reset the console but no luck.

When loading Far Cry 5, I cannot get past the initial continue new game then loads data screen. Gets a minute or less in then screen goes black then the console restarts.

Only does this with disc games. I can play online downloaded no issues.

I have reset console and updated everything but still doing. Has anyone got any tips/tricks.

whenever I complete a matchmaking game it freezes at the loading screen. Stats do not even come up and I have to restart the game. I have the disc copy. Anyone else experiencing this?

 

BF4: My Xbox will load a game or mission but during the next loading screen it will freeze.

my game will load the first game I join, but if I try to load the next round or even quit, it will freeze during the loading screen, and it happens with campaign going from mission to mission... it still works, but its frustrating because the only way I
know how to restart the game is to end and restart the app because it is freezing, not crashing. and it's not the disc I tried a different BF4 disc and the same thing is happening.

 

Does it do it with all disc games or just FC5?

Sounds like a faulty drive but let us know if it’s all discs or just one?

 

In addition to what brandiesel1 said, have you uninstalled and reinstalled the game?

yes all discs unfortunately

 

yes, completely wiped console as well and made sure updated.

 

In this case the disc reader may need a repair. You can set that up using the
registration form or by contacting
chat or phone.
