    Game Disc Issue


    Okay here is the issue. My Black Ops 3 game disc is having serious issues while trying to install the game. It will just go fine up until 32% and just stop and tells me my disk is dirty. I contacted support and was talking with them for a little over 2 hours.
    I thought it was an issue with my Xbox, but apparently it's my disc. The issue I have is the disc is nowhere near dirty or even damaged. It looks practically new. Though here is the biggest kicker, not even a month ago I Installed it (deleted it for more room
    but then Zombies you know Game Disc Issue ;)). Like I know the Xbox is telling me it's my disc and other games install fine, but there is no way its because it's dirty or scratched. Any help if either troubleshooting this, or figuring out the issue with the disc if there
    is even one.

    "Insert Disc" message on game discs when waking console from Standby mode

    I always leave the disc in the console and haven't had any issues when coming out of standby. It plays at the exact same place I left the game, no loading or menus and it has never asked for the disc.

    If you take the disc out then try and replay the game it will cause an issue. Just like if you pause the game then eject the disc.

    It's not that though, I'm putting the disc in without selecting anything on the dash but it just isn't spinning up to cause the game to auto-boot.

    If you've already tried all the troubleshooting steps
    here     and it's just an issue with this disc, even though the disc my look fine, there is likely something malfunctioning with it. There wouldn't be any other troubleshooting steps to try other than replacing the disc itself at this point.

    Disk reading issues

    From what I understand, Xbox One games are always Blu-Ray discs...so, if the games are XBox One games, then it sounds like it's an issue with the discs themselves if the console will play a Blu-Ray movie without issue.

    If the discs are Xbox 360 discs (DVD discs), then it sounds like the Laser diode thing is faulty if non-game DVDs sometimes have issues

    troubleshoot disc games    . If that is the only disc that doesn't work it could be damaged in some way.

    Red dead seen as dvd?

    Generally if the system recognizes the game disc as a dvd, it is a disc issue. Your best bet would be a disc replacement unless the disc is badly scratched in which case a buffing might help the issue.
