Game disappeared off console

My son had the game sea of thieves include in the pack when we bought the Xbox one S, he played it a few times. He's gone to play over the last few months but its not on the console anymore? Anyone no how we get this back? thank you

Sea of Thieves is still on game pass please check before providing bad information.

If the game was being patched and something went wrong it can then be deemed unrecoverable and is then removed. You should be able to just download the game again.

He may have got it with the game pass? If so then it would've run out after a month. He'd have to actually purchase the game to carry on playing it.

are you signed in with the same profile as what it was purchased on originally or if it was on gamepass which is a subscription, has that run out?

This has been happening. It happened to me the other day with Streets of Rage 4. I searched the game in the store and was able to play it that way.

Go to Microsoft Store, either via the Console or a PC and select manage or install. You should see that there and if not, let us know. The game needs to be updated and to do that you need to force a reinstall.
