Game dashboard

have you tried closing any previous apps that were open before?

is the game updating?

i ran into this situation

if you have it installed already. make sure you are connected to the internet.

if you have not installed the game yet. d/c from the internet. let it install offline. apparently its quicker than downloading the game from the server. I can't confirm myself but thats what I heard. worth a try. then after its down installing, then
you have to wait for an update for the game. Once the update is complete. You should then be able to play the game.

If for some reason you can play the game yet. restart the xbox and try again.

just make sure whatever you have opened up previously is closed. by pressing the button on the controller and close the current app that shows up. this seems to a be glitch in the OS function

I know if you dashboard out of a multiplayer game in Halo Reach or Halo 4 it counts as a quit for sure. If you do it by the menu, the game sees it as the player doing so. But if you dashboard out, the game sees it as Xbox Dashboard (the operating system
for our consoles) giving a command to the game to terminate the game immediately and exit to the dashboard.

And is usually advertised on the main page of the dashboard or in a box under the games section of the dashboard.

I know both of you really want the infamous "played the dashboard game for 10 hours" but seriously it does stack, you don't have to play the dashboard game for 10 hours straight. Turn your console on and being on the dashboard for just a few seconds still
counts.

Seriously though, I couldn't care less about the dashboard, I bought my Xbox One to play games, not look at the dashboard for hours on end.

Just saying.
