Game crashing on startup

This has been happening the last few days. I am running Windows 8.1 on a i5 Surface 3.

As I open the app, I see the screens showing the company logos. The next screen, if it shows at all, is the main screen with the rotating dots and says connecting. After a second or three, the app crashes to the desktop like it has minimized. I tap on the
button to maximize the app and it goes through the same process. On other occasions, it will just go to a blank screen before crashing to desktop.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app with the same findings. The app does run, but only on the eighth or ninth time trying to load. When it loads, it seems to run properly.

I CAN'T PLAY ANY OF MY GAMES !!!

BF4 won't play period. Same with Watchdogs. Both are on disk and just freeze in the startup screen for a while before crashing and telling me that the game took too long to load.

GFWL crashing on startup

GFWL crashes when I try to launch it. The splash screen appears, and then I get a "GFWL has stopped working error". I have tried re-installing the client and the .net framework with no luck.

Any suggestions? I can't play the game I got for Christmas because of this =/

Could you please download the free game Shuffle Party and let us know if it gives you any errors? This sounds like there's something amiss going on with the Xbox cloud.

I have a similar problem, when I start Xbox games under win 8.1 on my PC it just crashes to normal window. I downloaded shuffle party and it played fine. The only way I have found to resolve this is to keep rebooting my PC until it works. Clean build
of Win 8.1, AMD CPU @ 4.0GHz, 16GB 1600 RAM, 1GB DDR5 R5 270 graphics card, Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard Rev 5, all 4 HDD SataIII AHCI. Can you please help resolve this

Have you made sure to manually check for updates, install any missing updates, and then to select Restart on your device?

It does not let me install the previous driver, the option was greyed out. I'll post the specs in the main comment section. Like I said, no idea what I'm doing haha
