    GAME CRASH ON LAUNCH Call of Duty HQ (Black Ops 6) from Xbox Game Pass on PC


    Hello,

    I'm unable to launch Call of Duty HQ (Black Ops 6) from Xbox Game Pass on PC. The game begins launching and stays on a black screen for anywhere between 40 seconds and 3 minutes, then crashes with error code 0x0. There is no error dialog, and no crash is logged in Event Viewer > Application.

    I’ve already tried the following:

    • Installing the game on both internal SSD (CGAME CRASH ON LAUNCH Call of Duty HQ (Black Ops 6) from Xbox Game Pass on PC :) and external USB-C SSD
    • Clean reinstall of Xbox App, Game Bar, GameInput, Gaming Services, and Xbox Identity Provider
    • Using a new local Windows user profile
    • Logging in with a second Microsoft/Xbox account
    • Performing a full in-place Windows 11 repair install (keeping files and apps)
    • Installing all Visual C++ Redistributables (2015–2022, both x64 and x86)
    • Disabling overlays (Game Bar, GeForce, Discord) and Windows Defender
    • Verifying no other Call of Duty installs exist (e.g., Battle.net version removed)
    • Confirmed GameInput service is running and Game Bar functions correctly
    Despite all of this, the game always crashes silently before reaching the main menu, and no crash data is generated. This points to a possible issue with Xbox entitlement validation, a sandbox or configuration conflict, or a broken cloud save or registry state tied to the Game Pass version.

    System Specifications (for reference):

    • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F @ 2.90GHz (8 cores, 16 threads)
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super (6 GB GDDR6)
    • RAM: 32 GB
    • Storage: Internal NVMe SSD (WDC PC SN810 1TB) — game currently installed on C:
    • OS: Windows 11 Pro (Build 22631.3593) — fully updated
    • Display: 2560x1600 @ 240Hz
    • DirectX: DirectX 12 (WDDM 3.1)
    • Drivers: NVIDIA 551.97
    • Xbox Services: Game Bar, Gaming Services, GameInput all reinstalled and active
    • VC++ Redistributables: 2015–2022 (x64 and x86) installed

    Why is Black ops 6 vault edition 30 pounds on my xbox

    I load up cod hq and when I go on the pre order tab for black ops 6 it says vault edition is 30 pounds. Is it actually 30 pounds or is it a visual bug in the game because it says it's 30 in the Microsoft store
    Because that's only the vault edition upgrade (upgrades you from the base game to the vault edition) and doesnt contain the actual game itself.

    - This Vault Edition is the complete package with a base game and other freebies.

    Then, there's Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Vault Edition Upgrade

    - This Vault Edition doesn't have the base game. It requires existing ownership of the digital version of the Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Cross-Gen Bundle on Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S (sold separately), or an active subscription to select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Console).

    This is not a Play Anywhere game so its different versions are sold separately, you previously used it on PC but only because you had Game Pass PC active and downloaded it from the catalog.

    Best Call of Duty Game?

    The best Call of Duty game for me is either Black Ops 2 or Modern Warfare 2. I also have a special place in my heart for Call of Duty 2, because that game looked absolutely amazing when the Xbox 360 launched. It was the must buy launch game for that
