Game costs for digital downloads

Dear Microsoft,

I am writing this post as i am rather disheartened at the cost of most of the digital download games on the xbox live store,i have pretty much been an xbox user for most of my gaming life right from the release of the first ever xbox and The Thing (the thing
was one of the first great games),back then the games provided were so much cheaper which meant i (and many others i know) could afford more than one game per month,i can understand having to pay up to and over £50 for a newly released game on the new consoles
but why games (almost) over a year old are still close to full price is not very customer friendly,for an example i can buy Skyrim in my local supermarket for £24 and yet am still being asked if i want to download it from your store at a cost of £49,Metal
gear phantom pain is another example £12 brand new in shop but £23 on xbox store,the biggest disapointment is that once dowloaded from xbox store it cannot be lent or resold.

I love gaming and that will never change,i also think the free games acumilated from being a yearly member to xbox live is a privalage,but please please please can we have more older games at cheaper prices more often,i am sure microsoft would benefit as
more games would be sold in a shorter timeframe.

learned what, digital games may look cheaper to provide but the cost of bandwidth for each download can cost a lot of money.

Bandwidth costs for MS and the digital downloads costs far more than packaging and distribution. End Of.

Games prices are mostly determined by the publishers, not Microsoft. So publishers tend to leave them at MSRP for a longer amount of time. Since retail stores only have to cover their cost, they have room to change the prices.

You know it wont get seen by anyone at Microsoft or anyone who deals with the pricing strategy for games.

Just buy the cheapest version there is simples.

Digital distribution can cost way more than discs and packaging, bandwidth costs a fortune and with games coming in at approx 40GB and those downloaded by thousands = a lot of bandwidth costs. Digital does have the convenience also.

Price the digital games properly and nobody would buy disks. There is not a reason in the world a digital download should cost the same or more than a physical copy.
