    Game corrupted?


    Hi guys... I have trouble with the following situation:

    I was visiting a friend in London a couple of weeks back and we wanted to play some Xbox and I created a new account and bought CoD Black Ops on his Xbox (with my account), because I read you can download your games later on using a different console. When
    I went back to germany I bought myself a cheap 360 and tried to download the game via "Download History" and using the "License transfer". I was able to download the game (although I had to do it like 3 times because the download suddenly disappeared), but
    I can't find it in "My Games" and in "Storage" it says the game is corrupted. Might this be because I bought it in a different country? Is my harddrive broken (I don't think so its a new Xbox). I have no idea what's going on and I don't want my money to be
    wasted.

    Any advise on this?

    Game corrupted?

    It could be because you bought it in another country, but I'm not sure as I've no experience doing that. However, what it sounds like is that your game never actually downloaded properly. I'd try again, if it downloads properly you should see the game listed.

    Yeah, it's a region issue. The game is region locked so in order to download it your account region has to match your physical location. So it sounds like the account you created was set for the UK and the original download was for the UK. Since you're now
    in Germany, it will not fully download.

    Thanks for the info... I have already changed my accounts location to Germany and the location of my Xbox is still Germany. Doesn't work tho. The download was restarting itself a couple of times and then it said "Corrupted" again. I guess the game is still
    locked despite the fact that my account now is a german one.

    Yeah, because you purchased it in the UK it's still a UK download. You would have had to download it on your console in the UK in order to download it.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this issue with the corrupt data, you may need to
    delete the corrupt save data for both games in order to resolve the issue. You may also need to
    Uninstall and Reinstall both games to try and resync the data saved in the cloud storage.

    How do you know it is corrupting anything? Do you get an error message? What do you see happening?

    Is the game stored on an external hard drive? It's possible that it's a hardware failure, and not an issue with the software, so if you could provide some more information on what is happening, we'd be happy to help troubleshoot and try to identify the
    cause of whatever it is you see happening.
    When I try to get in the game I get this message "The item you are trying to use seems to be corrupted. Try uninstalling and reinstalling. (0x80070570)"

    The game is in the internal memory of my console, this is the third time I reinstall the game and always after about two days the game gives the same error, this error happens only with this game.
