Game code as a Christmas gift

I've searched around and I can't find any reference to delaying the delivery or delivery on a specific date. My best advice would be to purchase a digital download card for the game from a retailer like Best Buy and giving your brother that. You could wrap
it or put it in a stocking, and that way your brother will open it on Christmas day (or whenever), put the code in, and download the game.

That might be the best solution for what you're trying to do.

However I talked with Xbox support and they told me it's a function not even implemented (that's a pity), so I decided to buy it and send to another personal Xbox account. At Christmas I will let my brother redeem the code on his account.

Far as I know, Digital Game codes don't have expiry dates.

And, if it's a gift, the code doesn't expire either (unless things have changed since the concept was introduced):

"On gifting, the tokens gifted do not expire. No worrying they will expire before the recipient redeems the token"

If you have another email address you can gift them to yourself and then save the codes for Christmas. Otherwise, there's no way to delay the codes being sent.

Haha that would have been the perfect Christmas gift, Do you know if they are still handing out these codes or is it over now ?
