    Hello, so recently I’ve been having an issue with my xbox recording my game clips. Any time i try to make a game clip it will always say that it has recorded what i wanted it to but my recordings only show up some of the time. For example yesterday I made
    a few game clips. My xbox said they were recorded then it later uploaded them to xbox live. Today i made a game clip, my xbox said it was recorded but it never uploaded anything to xbox live. I went in the recent captures to see if it was pending still but
    it said there was nothing there and the most recent upload to xbox live was the clip i made yesterday. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

    "Record That" Without Kinect

    You can record clips without using the Kinect - simply snap the game dvr app, choose to start or end a clip, the amount of time to record (up to 5 minutes), then it records. It's easy! You can't record a voice-over or show a clip of your face, but the ability
    to record without the Kinect IS there. It actually surprises me how many people don't realize it.

    I understand you need help on your game clip recording.

    Just a heads up that recording game clips and using the internal storage device most especially at higher resolution will only record shorter clips. If you want to record longer clips, I suggest using an external storage like a flash drive or external hard drive.

    Xbox captures not recording correctly

    In most cases, capturing allows the creation of clips up to 5 minutes in length. At times, you may find that your clip is shorter than anticipated. There are a few reasons why this may happen:

    • Time spent outside the game is removed from the clip. For example, if you back out of the game to the Home screen while recording, the time on the Home screen will not make it into the clip.
    • Publishers may disable the recording of certain game segments for several reasons that may include, but are not limited to:
      • Potential game spoilers
      • Views of a player or players in the game seen through their Kinect
    • Capturing records clips at 720p, 30 frames per second. For most games, this resolution will allow a clip of approximately 5 minutes. Clips with significant graphic intensity or action may be shorter, as duration is sacrificed to maintain a high-quality
      recording.
