game chat Tv speakers but separate microphone

So I did a test with a microphone and it didn't work. The chat mixer appears but the microphone does not work.

If the microphone has a 3.5mm input that will fit into the controller MAYBE it will work. If that doesn't work, I recommend using a headset with a 3.5mm jack connected to the controller.

thanks samy, no im trying to keep the audio coming out of the tv/stereo speakers but have a microphone to talk to friends. i think ive found a microphone which will do it but im now hoping i can adjust the mic/output in the audio settings once the mic is in

You'd probably need to find a USB microphone to plug into the USB port of the console to be able to do what you want. However, I believe the Turtle Beach Stream Mic is the only one capable and that is EOL so supplies are limited

Maybe the chat mixer appears and works if the connector you use on the controller is 3.5mm
