  1. Game chat in Windows 10 game streaming isn't working

When streaming from my Xbox to my pc I cannot hear game chat or talk in game chat. I'm using my turtle beach elite pro headset in the mic jack it's not working. I bought a USB adapter for the headset and still nothing. I can start a party in the Xbox app
and talk to my party perfectly fine with the USB adapter and without. I just can talk or hear game chat. The games audio come out perfectly any solutions? Oh I can't plug my headset into my controller because I'm streaming to beam from my pc.

    :)

    HELP!!

Hi LeMoNdEtAnOus, please try the following:

My game chat audio isn't working

Make sure your audio device for both input (microphone) and output (speakers) is set correctly on your PC. Under Control Panel, select Hardware and Sound, and then select Manage audio devices. You’ll find these settings on both the Playback and Recording
tabs. At the present time, this needs to be selected before you begin game streaming.

If your having trouble hearing audio or seeing audio check the following article:

    Thanks,

Game chat in Windows 10 game streaming isn't working

    Hi,

An accessory's outdated driver is one of the leading causes why you're encountering issues with game chatting in the Xbox app on your Windows 10 device. To properly isolate your case, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you tried using a different headset and check if the same instance occurs?
    • Have you tried connecting your headset to a different controller and check if the same instance occurs?
    • Do you have any third-party antivirus installed on your computer?
    • Have you made any changes on your device prior this case?

In the meantime, you may refer to the following solutions:

Solution 1: Run the Windows audio troubleshooting wizard

    1. On the taskbar, press and hold the volume icon.

Note: You can also right-click the volume icon.
    2. Select Troubleshoot sound problems, and then follow the instructions.

Solution 2: Check for Windows updates

An audio problem may occur because you don't have the latest audio updates. To check for available updates, see

How to get software and driver updates for Windows 10
    .

Solution 3: Check for known issues and updates from the manufacturer

Your Windows 10 device relies on your audio hardware. That hardware relies on software called drivers to run. Drivers are updated frequently, so even if your hardware is brand new, it's a good idea to check for updates. Here's how:

    1. Press the Windows button on your Windows 10 device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the main screen.
    2. Go to Search, enter "dxdiag.exe" and then select dxdiag Run Command in the list of results, or press Enter.
Note: When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens, a progress bar appears at the bottom of the window to let you know when the information has been loaded.
    3. On the Sound tab, look for the provider or manufacturer of the audio device, and then note the name, model, and version number of the audio driver.
    4. Open a web browser and search for the manufacturer's website.
    5. Follow the steps to search for your specific audio device, and then check if there are any available updates for you to install.

    Stream xbox using chromebook (Linux)

It really wont work on any operating system other than windows 10. The windows 10 app is the only legitimate way to stream your xbox to play on the move. Personally i use a macbook with windows 10 bootcamped on it, native support for the controller is good,
as is the ability to use game sound/ party chat through the macbook

Xbox One AS a media server, not a streaming receiver

    Hi BrianRagle,

The Xbox One isn't really designed to be a network media server. You can only stream from your Xbox to your Windows 10 PC using the Xbox App for Windows 10. However protected video and HDCP-protected content can't be streamed with game streaming. This includes
protected HDMI television content as well as the content from many media applications.
