Game chat audio issues

I have read all the nonsense answers Microsoft is giving people. What a joke. That being said here is the issue:

If you use a headset with the audio settings as headset and speakers, Game chat (not in a xbox party) does not come through the TV so my capture card can hear it. If I turn the headset off my capture card hears the game chat and records it.

This has NEVER been an issue until recently when my stream said they can't hear who I am talking too. Go to settings to see that the audio menu is different and no matter what you do xbox forces headset optimizations which was NEVER a thing before. This screws up the game chat capturing.

Halo infinite is the game and just last week it was working with no issues. I was recording all in game chat (not party chat) and when the issue happens I am not in a party chat. It is only when the headset is connected to talk to people in game that the xbox stops sending gamechat through the capture card. Everything else sound wise goes through as all in game chat is now going through the headset. Thanks for screwing this up Microsoft.

Anyone know what's going on? Why did this change this.

I'm having similar issues. Upgraded the firmware on the controller first. The headset works great for Game Audio wirelessly from the transmitter, but as soon as I plug it into the Microsoft Chat Adapter, game audio begins dropping out and chat doesn't function.
When I unplug the headset from the Chat Adapter game audio works great.

The chat adapter seems to be the issue.

Any ideas?

Yes, they changed it a few weeks ago, now some users have added some hardware to also be able to capture all the sound again! I sincerely hope they go back to the old settings!

I have and my post has gone un answered. This is the official answers.microsoft.com site.... are you telling me they give little to no Fs about this that they would rather answer on reddit yet are not answering my post on reddit?

This is beyond frustrating that I need to post on reddit to get someone in that department to look at my issue and fix it for not just me but EVERYONE. I should NOT have to buy something to make it work when it worked BEFORE they did this insane update that removed it. The first anticonsumer thing I have had to complain about since owning my series x. Yes, it is enough to get me to sell the system and go back to playing exclusively on pc if this does not get corrected. Does microsoft care that that happens, no.
