    Game Captures


    When I play my games (Ex. Battlefield 5) there are moments where something incredible happens and I’d like to capture the moment. These moment are usually less than 1 min long. But for some reason when I select anything else other than 5 min game captures. My xbox only ends up recording 2 seconds or nothing at all. It can only capture something 5 mins long without any issues on rare occasions I doesn’t even record 5 mins either. What going on here? Anyone else getting this issue?

    Cannot take screenshots

    Try going into Settings, Preferences, and then Capture & Share.

    From there check to see if under Capture in the first block that says, "Allow game captures", and see if it either shows: "Captures by me or games" or "Capture by me."

    If it says, "Don't capture", then change it to either one of the other two options.

    record what happened: 5 minutes

    automatically upload: captures by me

    game clip resolution: 720p SDR

    Capture location: internal

    Let's try this

    Go to "settings - Preferences - Capture & share - Allow game captures" Make sure the captures are turned on

    "captured by me" - they will record and upload captured clips directly from you

    "captured by me or games" - the game can make screenshots on its own

    I hope this will solve your problem if so let me know and I will continue to support you until I find answers
