Game capture menu is inaccessible.

Hello everyone, I've got a problem with my game capture options.

Here's what's supposed to happen:

1. Press Home button to bring up Home menu.

2. Press View button to bring up Capture menu.

3. Select "Capture what happened" to pick a time between 0:15 and 5:00 minutes.

The problem is that when I press the View button it skips #2 and goes straight to #3, preventing me from choosing any of the other options in #2's menu.

-The problem is only on one profile on this console.

-I've matched this profile's privacy settings to another profile that doesn't have this problem.

-I use energy-saving mode.

Does anyone know what's going on?

EDIT: I just tried removing and redownloading my profile to the console. It didn't help.

Go to capture settings and make sure it is enabled.

I shouldn't be. I don't remember ever explicitly signing up for it. How do I tell?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that the capture menu is not popping up when you press the view button on the controller. We recommend checking if your

controller needs an update. If this does not resolve the issue, we suggest performing a

soft factory reset. This factory reset will keep all games and applications installed, but it will remove all profiles from the console. Therefore, the email address and password of those accounts must be known before this step is taken. Be sure to let
us know the results!

It's enabled; it just won't let me into menu #2. I mostly need in there so I can start and stop a recording exactly when I want to.
