Game Bundle Redeemed on Wrong Account

I recently received a copy of Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition Bundle for Christmas and accidently activated it on the wrong account.

I have spoken to a technical support agent (Mark or Marc) for two hours at 1am regarding this and I was told that the trivial matter of transferring the game to another account was not possible. He then suggested I link the two accounts in a home group,
and we then tried to install the game. Unfortunately the game does not show up as purchased when I search for it in the game store.

Due to the late hour, I was unable to continue further with this issue.

Please advise as to what there is to do to remedy this issue.

I accidentally redeemed a game code on my work account. After contacting support they told me there is now way to transfer the game. Even using the set one account as home on the xbox route won't solve this in the long term. I won't always have access to
the other account.

MS should not allow a live account to redeem a game when it doesn't even have a xbox account assigned to it!

This is so frustrating...

 

There isn't a way to transfer it to the correct account that I know of. As the support agent suggested, set your console as the "Home" Xbox for the account that has the game. That will allow any account on that console to play the game. That's the best
you can do without buying a second copy.
