Game being corrupt

I have a question on how to fix a game that is corrupt or the file, Call of Duty: MW needed an update, so when i try to update it, it said "The item you're trying to use appears to be corrupt. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it." and this is the first
time I've ever gotten this little message and I when tired to uninstall and reinstall it says the same thing, and so I'm asking the community, if anyone knows how to fix it.

Hi, mist if ny games are on hard drive, i tried moving to internal it still wont do

I have the same problem with fortnight, keeps saying instsllation stopped, the item you are trying to use appears to be corrupt. I have tried everything. I was told to get in contact with xbox support.

Im sorry youre having an issue with your game! What happens is when a game updates , sometimes the files dont transfer all the data correctly which leads to a corrupt file. To fix this go into your setting and clear local saved data , this is normally enough
to clear the corupted file. If it continues go to xbox.com/support and they can give you furthur instructions from there

Ok, i will try that, as all of my games are saved on a hard drive not on xbox itself, ill try switching it over.

I fixed my game by switching it to my xbox storage from my hard drive you can try that if you have a hard drive.
