Game bar party pc and xbox

Hello guys I tried to start a party with me being on PC and my friend being on xbox when I went to the game bar on my PC and started up a party I could hear them perfectly but they could not hear me I played around with the settings and it looked like looked like my audio was coming through but it was too quiet which I could not figure out how to bump up Is there a problem with the app itself or on my end any help is appreciated thank you. When I use my mic on discord it's perfectly fine and I have no problems.

Xbox companion app is discontinued, and the "Party Invitations" and "Games" notification settings are nonexistent in the Xbox PC app. Settings for invites and messages are all on the Game Bar app for PC.

You'll just have to make sure these settings are checked after reinstalling the game bar @ (Game Bar)Settings>Notifications>Xbox Social>Notify me when I'm invited to a party or multiplayer game

I’m not playing on console. My mates are. And I’m using the Xbox game bar on pc to party up with them while playing destiny 2 on pc, destiny 2 has cross play so I use the game bar to party up with Xbox console players. Also I have a Xbox series s if i do the steps above does the console need to be on or no

If you have the latest update, then party invites don't go to the Xbox Console Companion app anymore, and they go straight to the Game Bar. Same for party chat on the PC.

To access the Game Bar, just press the Windows button and G at the same time, you should be able to see your invites there.

Thats what I'm doing.. the only thing I am doing different from playing keyboard/mouse is the controller itself. but when i plug it in every setting on the pc changes to controller mic. Even though the controller has no mic. So I go back through all the
pc settings and xbox companion settings and change it back but the xbox game bar will not let me use the usb mic anymore. I have to unplug the controller and reset the pc to be able to use my mic again. when I start a party in the companion app it says my
mic is working , but if i am in a party on that app for some reason I'm not in a party on the game bar... so if i start a party on the game bar the mic still doesn't work..
