Game bar party chat stops working after a few seconds

Go to settings>Gaming>Xbox Network wait for the test to finish and then click on ''fix'' and test the party chat again, please.

Hello there,

Please click on the Windows key + I on your keyboard to fire up the Settings area to repair the app.

From there, select Apps > Apps & Features, then scroll down until you’ve come across Xbox Game Bar.

Now, you will want to click on the app then select Advanced Options.

A new window should appear. Please click on Repair, then give it some time to complete the process.

Once that is done, restart your computer and try again.

Party chat on Windows/Xbox App still works. An alternative is the Xbox game bar Party.

To bring up the Xbox game bar, Hold the Windows button and Press "G"

From there you will be able to initiate a Party and Much more!

While we’re at it, there’s a related problem many of us are having that Party Chat will not work unless Game Bar is open.

Tried all of those now, no luck!

getting frustrated now as lots of people want to use the party chat over the game chat.

This used to work when I bought the xbox fine, just stopped working after a patch several months ago and hasn't worked since.
