game bar notifications randomly not working

Discus and support game bar notifications randomly not working in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; built a pc for the first time and am trying to get this awful game bar to work right on sea of thieves, my notifications on invites to both parties and...     game bar notifications randomly not working


    built a pc for the first time and am trying to get this awful game bar to work right on sea of thieves, my notifications on invites to both parties and game 9/10 times wont pop up or show in the notification tab, some times if i force quit game bar in task manger itll work for 1 or 2 inv then never work again. any ideas on how i could fix this?

    Xbox App / Gamebar doesn't send notifications when unlocking an achievement.

    No longer getting Game Bar notifications

    It seemed to start after recent updates to the Xbox and Game Bar apps but MS also roll out changes gradually.

    Fixes like app resets, signing out and in, or toggling notification settings. don't help but notifications can randomly start working for a day and then stop again - so its not 100% broken.

    Rather than it being a local PC issue It's possible that achievements and rewards are recorded by their servers which then communicate with our PC to cause a Windows notification to trigger - so it's something in this complex path that's not working.

    Reporting issues either here or in the Feedback Hub seems to have no effect on getting a fix.

    Not sure if this would be an issue but are your game bar notifications disabled? Personally i have my system notifications off but game bar notifs still come through with my party invites and such, i would check that out.

    I think the party invite notification was removed and put on the Xbox Game bar instead, if you launch the game bar by pressing windows key and g, then goto settings - social, you should find an option to turn on notification for invites to party.

    -windows 11

    -checked the windows store and the game bar doesn't need to be updated

    -checked the app settings to see if the notifications where off, it was all on, should be working but it isn't
