    Game bar Can't record GeForce 610


    Hello All. I recently clean Installed Windows 10 on a new Hard Drive because my Windows 7 Hard Drive broke. I use Action to record but I hear you can record with the Game Bar and Publish it to Youtube. I decided to give it a go. I launch Minecraft 1.9 (Java
    Edition) and do Win+G and the Game Bar Opens. I go to record and It tells me I can't because I don't have a 600 Series GeForce Card? I have a GeForce 610 on a Desktop, I think you need 800m for Laptops. Any idea how to solve?

    Specs-

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6400

    Nvidia GeForce 610

    4GB Ram

    Java 1.8

    DirectX 12 (Of Course)

    1920x1080 60hz Monitor

    When not recording I get 60+FPS in Minecraft, While recording I get 25-FPS. What would my Estimated FPS Be while using this Game Bar?

    Game DVR problems

    "Video cards that support NVidia NVENC include:"

    "GeForce 600 series or later, but not:

    • GeForce 605
    • GeForce GT 610
    • GeForce GT 620
    • GeForce GT 625
    • GeForce GT 630 (some models might work)
    • GeForce GT 640
    • GeForce GT 645
    • GeForce GT 730 (some models might work) "

    My GPU is Nvidia Gt 1030 so later than Geforce 600.
    So why my game says your hardware does not support Game DVR?

    Mine doesn't work either...

    I have an NVidia GeForce 610 which is within the requirements (GeForce 600 or above required)

    Hi,

    The GeForce Experience uses its own video recording software called 'Shadow Play', it shouldn't have any effect on the Windows Game Bar video recorder as they are separate programs.

    Are you sure you haven't lowered the recording settings in Game Bar?

    How to record Full Screen using Xbox Game Bar?

    Hi,

    In short, you can't as Game Bar is not designed to do that. To record the desktop you'll need third party software.

    OBS is a popular free software app to do this, along with game streaming.

    If you have an AMD graphics card you can install AMD's own recording software if you've got an NVIDIA GPU you'll need Shadowplay which is part of their GeForce Experience software

    Recording using Game bar isn't a given, PC/laptops pre 2015 or without a dedicated graphics card can't record game footage.
