    Game Audio Muted When I Join or Launch Parties


    On my Xbox One, whenever I launch up a party or join one my game audio goes completely mute. Why? Please help, I've tried unplugging and plugging my headset in, I've reset my cache nothing is working! Please help me! I use Turtle Beach XO One's

    Hi,

    I cannot hear or be heard in chat. Either party or game. I can join parties and online games no lag etc. Headset is fine and can Skype. Not muted. Diagnostics all fine. Moderate NAT. 4.5mb up, 1.5 down. Im completely stuck!

    All spoken audio is muted

    Hey Xbox and community.

    Problem: all headsets and microphones on my Xbox will not allow player to speak.

    - headsets will hear all in game sounds

    - headsets will hear all in game chat or party chat.

    - mute and unmute functions correctly in party and audio menu

    ****- home screen shows muted symbol, but everywhere else on menus show nothing is muted ****

    Two days ago my audio decided to mute my voice from parties and in game chat.

    How it happened: I walked out of distance from the Xbox and my controller disconnected. When i connected back in, the audio stopped (only my speaking). I’ve gone out of distance many times (food break, taking care of pets, etc) and this has never happened.

    YouTube has not helped me. I’m fully confident and technical in my abilities of having settings correct. This is an Xbox issue.

    When you go to the audio settings does it show the toggle to switch on microphone?

    If yes maybe check your profile when you join a party you might have accidentally muted yourself

    it could also be that if you are in party Chat, but join a game lobby, your mic will show as muted because you are in a party. Some games will display the mic as muted when you are in XBL party chat.

    When you stream through Xbox there is a setting in the twitch app to include party chat. But the party members have to allow their audio to be used. If you have “Party Chat” muted on the broadcast screen (it's in between “Microphone” and “Game”), or won't have the option to include audio.

    see in the configuration and keep the volumes, party and game balanced, you must have mute the game audio control.
