Thanks for the response.

- Update your graphics card driver by going to the manufacturer's website and downloading the latest version for your model. Alternatively, you can use Device Manager to check for updates automatically. To do this, press Windows + X keys, select Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right-click on your graphics card and choose Update driver.

- Update your Windows system by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and clicking on Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if prompted.

- If none of the above steps work, you may need to uninstall and reinstall Minecraft Preview Version from the Microsoft Store. To do this, go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Minecraft Preview Version and click on Uninstall. Then, go to the Microsoft Store, search for Minecraft Preview Version and click on Install.

I'll give that a try and let you know what happens. So far the update assistant says Windows is up to date. I'll see if there's a newer version of the update assistant available.

Hi. I was not in the Xbox One preview program. If you are talking about the Windows 10 preview program, I was in that but I have had to reformat my PC several times since then. The latest clean version of Windows is the latest public build. If I had this

You need to check if your Windows version has pending updates and perform them. Afterwards you'll also need to update your sound drivers from your OEM's website. While there make sure you also have the latest Chipset, Display, Network, USB and all other drivers, comparing with the version presently installed in Device Manager.
