Game able to be downloaded without purchase?

Earlier today, I was browsing my "ready to install games" tab on my Xbox One. The game Bully: Scholarship Edition showed up. I did not purchase this game and no else in my family did. The game downloaded fully when I tried.

Not sure how I got it but just don't want my account to get banned due to some glitched download? I have not loaded game since download.

Thanks for any advice on this situation!

Why can't I play the games I payed for???

if you dont have live on your xbox you cant play indie games you have downloaded anyother games you have downloaded you should be able to play with or without live.

So you can't sign into the name that originally downloaded the game? Unfortunately, without access to that account you won't be able to redownload the game.

If this had just so happened to appear in your ready to install section of your games & apps, I'm sure it's something on Xbox's end. You have nothing to worry about. There are glitches here & there, & things happen when they aren't meant to. Enjoy your game.

If you purchased the game with the gamertag that you are posting with then it should be in your Download History.

Go to Settings>Accounts>Download History and you will be able to redownload the game without incurring another purchase cost.

Whatever profile downloaded the games has to be on the non-home console and signed into Live to access the games at the same time. The 2nd profile will not be able to access the games on the non-home console without the purchasing profile online on that
console. 2nd profile can only access games on the purchasing profiles home console without the actual purchasing profile.

Yes, I already tried both.

When I re-installed the game, I was able to download it right away without purchasing it again.

The system still sees you download the game as a purchase, so it technically has to have a payment method attached to do so. If you were to game share with someone else, you would be able to download the game without entering the payment info, but you would
not actually own the game.

Also meant to add, it's also for verification purposes. Say you downloaded one of the free games and then later had issues with it and you contacted support for help. Without it going through the system like that, they wouldn't be able to see that it was
purchased.
