Gaikai/Playstation Now. Possible X1 Streaming?

Before I start I would just like to point out that I am a fan of both Microsoft and Sony. I don't favor one over the other. That being said, I heard that Sony announced it's Playstation Now service with Gaikai streaming. I think this is really a step forward
for Playstation and I can definitely see Microsoft doing the same thing. This is one of the key features that many gamers look forward to. Now it's not exactly backwards compatible but it's being able to play all of your old games regardless if they are on
disc. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Microsoft has in store for it's console and hardcore fanbase.

Controller,Gaikai,playing games as you download them (can x1 do that?),increased perfomance to name a few

 

Why oh Why people.......

I'm currently leaning towards getting a PS4 at launch and an X1 in late 2014-early 2015. I figure I can get the cheaper console now and still play some MS exclusives (Titanfall, Project Spark) on my 360, I can play PS3 games I missed via Gaikai, and maybe
the X1 will drop in price by Early 2015.

 

All I have to say is if Sony can do this then MS better do this since they keep bragging about their 300,000 servers.

 

Microsoft already said they weren't going to do game streaming because it would rely on the internet connection of each individual person and the framerate would be inconsistent making a less quality service

Yeh imagine streaming a game. Most people have a hard time steaming movies let alone games. I'm curious to see how this goes. And to see how many developers actually redo games for streaming.

It could happen, but it really doesn't make a difference to me. If it happens great! If it doesn't, then just think of what we have to look forward to.

 

MSFT has the ability to do it, heck even to do it better since they have more share in the computer, hone, and tablet space, but the problem is they missed the opportunity. Sony did it, end of story. MSFT has to do it better or make it better or else no
one will care.

 

When Onlive came out, the quality of streaming games for me was very poor and some times couldn't even connect because of slow speeds. Although it's a good idea, most of us aren't capable of this kind of service quite yet.

 

Last I heard ms said streaming proved to be problematic but they had halo 4 running on a windows phone. Theyd have to work around the gaikai and o nlive patents and whatever other streaming service there is.

 

MS has already demoed game streaming but have since stated that “It’s really cool and really problematic".

I honesty think Sony is doing their usual "promise the moon" but come up short routine. Don't get me wrong I want it to work cause it seems really cool, I just don't see it happening as smoothly as they are envisioning
