whats this game like? I was thinking about getting it and using the kinect for once...

 

I only got it because it was on sale this week. It is fine, I only use the controller, not sure how kinect integrates. It will grab my attention for a little while but not for weeks. The graphics are good, the controls are similar to other golf games I have
played...

 

oh I thought this implemented the kinect, ill hang back on this one, I have tried the kinect sports rivals demo and I think its brilliant showboat for the new kinect although I have not played the two player mode yet....need friends

 

I was going to mention the kinect sports demo.....I was amazed at how well it tracked me, much, much better than K1....

 

no.. PSG has no Kinect features.... the update was somewhat large... 3G.. added some nice moving camera angles on frives and approaches as well as , I think they said, 100s of new items in the store... as well as raised the credit rewards for beating a
rival, AI, round etc....

Im stuck on that dam rules game where you only have a driver and a putter.... on a HARD map with Strong Wind and crazy hills....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr one day Ill get lucky

 

Did you notice? The update did the same thing as DR3...it replaced files, because the final game size is 3.9 GB...can't remember what it was before, but pretty sure it wasn't 900MB.

 

Update wasn't due out until next week so thats a nice suprise.

Ive been going for world record drives also.... been close a few times... get Frank.. get the power boost, max power set up.. and go for broke.... when you first start playing and you see World record across the river.. 200 yards further than your best
drive.. you'd swear that guy was cheating.... just takes time to get the right clubs to raise the stats...

I got the update last night (Thursday). I didn't notice any obvious improvements, but I'm honestly not the most observant person in the world, so don't take that to mean anything. I did notice the payouts are bigger, which is good. I still think they need
to drop the store prices a little bit and I'd love to see a store where I can buy items individually and not randomly in some package deal. That's probably my biggest complaint about the game. Other than that, I really enjoy it a lot. Definitely a solid golf
game to get us by until something more meaty comes along. I've had it since I got my console about a week after release and I play it fairly frequently. If you want to add me and my "rival records" feel free to do so. y0diggity
