    FYI For U.S. users regarding 50Hz display setting


    Hi folks! I thought I'd post this here since I've heard of it happening to others. There is a chance that after the April console update your display settings will default to turn 50Hz on, even though your display is not a 50Hz display. The visual impact
    is likely fairly minimal for most users, but this is not the optimal refresh rate for displays in the U.S. running at 60-600Hz.

    To check this (and fix it) go to:

    Menu -> Settings -> Display & Sound. In here, uncheck the box for 50Hz.

    This should fix any framerate or flickering issues you may be experiencing here in the US following the update!

    It's worth noting that Republic Commando only works if your console is set to 50Hz. Go system settings > console settings > display settings > set it to 50Hz and see if that clears it.

    Xbox One has white light but won't turn on

    Hi Dogpigfish In settings/display and sound is tv connection set to auto connect, Have you ticked the allow 50HZ.

    Hi,

    In the Xbox video and display settings you should see two tick boxes, one for 'Allow 50Hz' and another for 'Allow 24Hz'. These options are there to allow smoother playback of video that is not natively designed for 60Hz.

    Unlike the U.S, most TV content in Europe (which would include Germany) is recorded in 50Hz. If you play this content on the console without the above setting enabled, it may not play correctly, exhibiting a judder, or stuttering effect. This is quite noticeable, especially for screen panning shots. It can be quite unsightly.

    The Allow 50Hz enables the console to playback this kind of content at the correct frequency.

    This only affects video content, it will have zero impact on games. Once enabled, just leave it on.

    right i seem to have the new update

    it is suppose to have fixed the 50hz issue but the xbox now wont display in 60hz at all switches back to 50hz all the time

    anyone else got the update and figured out how the 50hz works i cant find a setting to change it
