Future Xbox One games optimized for the Scorpio?

So, does this mean that once the Xbox One Scorpio comes out, the games will be optimized for the Scorpio and then downgraded for the Xbox One and Xbox One S?

good morning to all, I wanted to know how I can verify if my xbox one x has downloaded the 4k assets to the video games optimized for xbox one x.

the ps4 may have better specs but its not optimized like the xbox one is. The xbox one specs is fully optimized and all customized parts.And the more powerful specs they use the more these system will cost

 

I think you might get an option to download a hi res version of the game via an update for the Scorpio.

I don't think you're going to see multiple versions of the same game.

I'm sure we'll get more details at E3 2017 or at a separate Microsoft event.

I hope that the only difference between the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One Scorpio will be the graphics.

Example: Xbox One and Xbox One S isn't powerful enough to have certain features, so these features will only be available on the Xbox One Scorpio. Like game modes, etc...

Scorpio is an XBox ONE that's optimised for 4K display.

 

Forza game devs must have a close relationship with Microsoft since they make 1080p games for Xbox. So they will most likely provide optimization settings. The same with Halo too, since it's made by Microsoft's subsidiary 343 industries which Microsoft would
have likely given full potential info about Xbox's hardware. Maybe it will have settings/options like low medium high ultra found on PC games. No point in having a more expensive console when developers don't put forth the effort. Some will though. I read
the Halo 5 in order to maintain a consistent frame rate, dynamically changes the 1080p 60fps rating but when Scorpio comes out, it will be able to play it 1080p 60fps piece of cake.

Not sure about the downgrade. But the Scorpio is A SERIOUS HARDWARE REVISION of Xbox 1. GDDR5 @ 320GB/s compared to DDR3 68GB/s, and it will likely have 12GB RAM and a FASTER clocked AMD 8 core APU. One source said maybe a 2.2Ghz AMD 8 core APU. With Microsoft
and Sony finally realizing their current gen consoles are underpowered compared to PC gaming, that is why they're going to release their new consoles soon to maybe make it easier for game developers to create with. I watched from a YouTube video that Xbox
1's ESRAM (192GB/s ~) maybe difficult for game developers to utilize and too much of a hassle since it's a tiny amount, and that they would prefer the slower 178GB/s bandwidth of GDDR5 competition console.

 

There isn't to me, any noticeable hardware revision between the Xbox 1 original, and Xbox 1 S. The Xbox 1 S is just like 40% smaller, can be placed upright, and do a few extra things maybe, including an internal power supply (the ventilation would be a worry
though. Small pen sized punch wholes on the console compared to the larger vent line-like wholes on the original Xbox 1). Another thing I dislike about the S, is - no Kinect port. You have to pay Microsoft more money to get a Kinect dongle port thingy so you
can hook up your Kinect to the Xbox 1 S.

Kind of an odd blanket statement. Are you saying that's all it is or in addition to this?

Either way, I disagree with the statement. Scorpio is not an "Xbox One". Xbox One is the 8th Generation of Video Game Consoles. Scorpio will be in the 9th Generation of Video Game Consoles. MS can PR speak all they want saying it's not a different Generation.
Truth is when they make that claim, they are pandering to a demographic that will scream "you abandoned us!".

Scorpio will more then likely begin with simple Ports from Xbox One and Xbox One S to the Scorpio Platform due to the claimed nature of Universal Windows Platform. However I'm going to call bs on MS claim and I believe from evidence of past Generations of Video
Game Consoles that they have Ports and then exclusives to that Generation that were not possible on prior Generations.

To say Scorpio is a Xbox "optimised" for 4k Display is a simplified blanket term, that in reality is what the Xbox One S already does. The Xbox One S is a 4k Upscale Display version of the Xbox One and very little else (sans some additional Features, HDR, IR
Blaster and such). Scorpio on the other hand while will have both Upscale and maybe even Native 4k Games and will also have much better performance for exclusives for that Generation.

TLR- Scorpio will have Games not available on either Xbox One or Xbox One S.

You'd argue the world was flat if someone on the forums pointed out it was round.

 

Thing is though Az in this instance, he is arguably right (or mostly until we find out more).

It is a far more powerful console than the meagre system we currently have - i know you spout about the cloud computing using azure and ESRam but even the crackdown devs have had to push the game as its been difficult to say the least in terms of coding
for it. (also note how NO other developers have even bothered?)

The scorpio, going by released specs, is going to utilise much better RAM, a much better GPU and also a speedier CPU - this is a full console facelift to the point where any sane person could easily see or claim it to be the next gen of consoles.

We dont know yet, but i would be pretty confident we will see games developed just for the Scorpio and or extra features and modes included in only scorpio releases due to the far superior hardware specs.

 

Azrael008uk, are you talking to me? If so, that's exactly the opposite of what I do. I reject the claim from "flat earthers" as it demonstrably false with evidence from reality.

 

Yes we will see Scorpio exclusives, to think otherwise is naïve in my opinion. I also agree its a new gen console by stealth so as not to create to many waves.

 

Personally, i'm looking forward to the extra horsepower. Being able to continue to play my older games with my existing friends is a great bonus too! I agree that it will be 'next gen' and there will be exclusives as the One and One S will not be able to
cope with the requirements. From what i've seen and read, that power may be used to great effect in VR especially.

4k TV for Christmas it is then!!

 

I agree with Elohmn 100%. Bring on the 9th gen. I'm ready.
