  1. Future of Xbox is Disappointing

I just read where Black Ops 6 will require a constant Internet connection to play any part of the game...even the single player campaign. Apparently it streams the high res textures from their end... as you play.

If Outlaws requiring an internet connection to even install the game wasn't bad enough. So now, if you have unreliable or access to only mediocre internet...Black Ops 6 will be a slide show.

I have been a very big supporter of Microsoft. Their previous work on backward compatibility and the ability to use previous gen controllers were a step in the right direction.

But, I am done with Xbox. I'm totally against advanced A I. And I have a feeling their new system will use it to a great degree. How else will they have the largest tech leap in a generation ever? So, that means that most of their big titles will be streamed from their servers using A I. And Azure tech to push to our consoles in our home. No thanks. I have fibre internet 1 Gb/1gb and GamePass sill lags...even with the series X hardwired to the router and I sit next to the newest and fastest eero router with a solid 5GHz connection. FPS are unplayable online and Racing games are about as bad.

I enjoy replaying games years down the line. I can still go back and play GameCube, PlayStation 3, SNES, Xbox 360, etc. What I will not be able to play in 10 or so years is Black Ops 6. Star Wars Outlaws. Basically any game that requires internet servers to still be active in order to install and or play the game.

What is truly sad is the amount of money I sank into the Xbox brand. It's almost like throwing money into the river. I probably have 50 digital titles and had more than 30 disc games...(Fortunately.I've been able to sell all bit four of those already). I just have a Series X, a wired headset and four controllers to sell...then I can forget Xbox entirely. I was really looking forward to Indiana Jones, Black Ops 6, and several other titles too. Oh well. They will get no more money from me.

    :)
