Future of gaming with XBOX and Windows

I don't post on the forums very often but I just sold my XBOX on Craigslist for 132$ and as I was showering this evening I thought about the future of gaming with XBOX and Windows.

I also don't know much about MS as a company or if they have any annual event where they show off new tech or ideas besides E3 but if they do I imagined my dream MS "conference"...

The theme this year of course would be about gaming, and without going into the long monologue of the event that i acted out in my shower I'll just cover the key points.

1. New surface pro X is announced - features include, 4K IPS screen with 144hz, 1ms response time, improved liquid cooling for an almost completely silent cool experience, new 8th gen i9, i7, i5, and i3 options, unified port type including 4 USB-C with 2
of them being thunderbolt 3.0. And you can imagine any other features you want too while your at it.

2. The thunderbolt 3.0 allows the new Surface Pro X to interface with a new surface product called the Surface Command Center. An EGPU with the same sleek design and rock solid built quality we expect from surface products. Instead of just being a GPU holder the
CC could have other features like Cortana interaction or amazing speakers built in.

3. Gaming grading surface wireless mouse and keyboard, Logitech just came out with some that actually have gaming grade performance on a wireless mouse and keyboard... Copy that sheeet.

4. XBOX One announces its goal to bring every game ever released on any XBOX console to the XBOX One (all that are legally possible anyways).

5. XBOX announces its goal to bring every XBOX One game to Windows 10 PCs, making any game purchased on Xbox One or the Windows 10 the most value for your buck.

6. The announcer closes with "And this last announcement well... you'll just have to see for yourself." the lights dim as Halo 6 trailer is revealed.

That would get my excited about gaming with MS for sure.

TLDR: MS turns the next Surface pro into a gaming PC with a EGPU and thunderbolt 3.0. They produce gaming grade wireless mouse and keyboard. All XBOX games past and present make their way to PC. Show off Halo 6 trailer.

P.S. I forgot to add number 7. MS announces a lag free wireless screen casting device so you can cast games to your TV from your Surface Pro X. This dream is a little far off technology wise though I fear.

Ironically anyone else read the article in June PC Gamer in regards to Windows 10 Gaming

After 3 weeks of needlessly waiting it looks like the codes are finally starting to be delivered for Quantum Break, at this time I am just waiting for Quantum Break but have received Alan Wake and Alan Wake Nightmare.

While I was waiting (and waiting) I recently read the Windows 10 Gaming article from the June issue of PC Gamer in which Phil Spencer (head of Xbox) was interviewed and spoke about Microsoft and their return to PC Gaming.

Here is a quote from this interview:

"We are the Windows company, and ensuring that the Windows gaming ecosystem is strong is important".

All I can say after reading the article is I hope Phil and the leadership within Xbox perform an audit or internal review to determine where the bottleneck is and prevent these types of issues in the future.

My overview of the past few weeks was by far not a positive experience but a pathetic attempt of customer service and does not give me any warm fuzzies in wanting to purchase games from the Windows Store in the future.
