Future of baseball games for XBOX

So long time Xbox owner and "fanboy" you can say a few years back, but as im older I dont play too many games no more, all I really play are Baseball games and sometimes fighting games or arcade.

So, Im really torn and considering moving next gen to PS4 for now...as this year sucked without a current baseball game,

I know baseball games are usually released Feb-April, so when should we expect an announcement if there's going to be one for Xbox one?

Wouldn't it be in development by now?

MLB Baseball Games

Not going to be any real baseball games since 2k dropped the contract. I am very disappointed in Xbox for letting this happen. As of now the only baseball game we have is RBI baseball which is more of an arcade game instead of a baseball "simulator" if you
will. That 2k baseball was or the show is now.

 

If you can convince a developer that they would actually make money from a baseball game, and that people will actually buy it... you'd have an audience (and probably a game too). Unfortunately, baseball games don't sell. If it is the only game you play,
I'd just get the PS4 and stick to The Show.

 

When it comes to sports games, Playstation has always had a better list due to those sports being popular in Japan.

I'm a huge horse racing fan and so PS2 was an incredible machine for me as it had around 7 horse racing titles. PS3 has had 3-4 and the Xbox took around 7 years for G1 Champion Jockey to arrive.

Also MLB the Show on Playstation is supposed to be the best baseball game a baseball fan could ever want.

 

Yeah true, thats the only reason Im considering switching cause of the Show..

I will miss Halo as an exclusive, other than that Im covered on most games..

Im sure baseball will come back to baseball, just not this year, i would think it be in development by now and word would be out.

If it ever does, I might pick up a Xbone as well..

 

It might be worth saving so you can have both.

The 360 is the console all about RPG's, Racing & FPS. The PS3 tends to be more about Hack & Slash and various sports.

Both consoles have there bonuses in terms of games, but neither have a massive advantage over the other in terms of exclusive offer.

You also have to look at the state of the new gen sales in Japan. Next to no one is bothered for either PS4 or X-ONE, and this will surely cut down gaming choice from a nation that gave the more less favoured genres a chance.

 

Also, Panik, anyone over the age of 12 kind of stopped referring to it as "xbone". We tend to use "X1" or "XOne".

 

I have been a long time baseball fan for as long as I can remember, but this not having a MLB baseball game just sucks, I am like most people an wanting to switch systems just so I could have a true baseball game. Xbox needs to come out with a baseball game
an fast, maybe if enough people complain about it they might finally get one, BASEBALL FOR LIFE!!!

Xbox needs to come out with a baseball game because it is a popular sport and I am truly considering going to ps4 just so I can play a baseball game. Xbox needs to come out with a baseball game or else they will loose another customer. I know they came out
with RBI Baseball but that game sucks it is a arcade type game. Xbox please come out with a real baseball game, for example play station has the show u guys had 2k then stopped making baseball 2k. I don't care if it is 2k baseball just come out with a real
baseball game, not a Arcade game like RBI Baseball

 

RBI Baseball is a joke of a game. As much as I hate to say it but unless EA jumps back in the pool and hammers out the deal to bring the MVP series back and avoid what happened in 2005 I would suggest you get a PS4 and pick up The Show because it is the
best thing out there next to a PC Baseball sim.

Also with the consoles coming down in price just consider getting them both then you don't have to worry about picking one brand over the other.
