Furious against Microsoft planning xbox live crash for making cash against their customers

I would definitely look into either switching internet providers, speaking to uour current one too see if theres issues on your line or upgrading your package as it shouldnt take that long to download a game.

Ill not repeat what others hsve said about Xbox and planned maintenance but will say that im sorry that this has upset you this much

The positive thing is there will be plenty of opportunities, xbox will not disappoint

Why would Microsoft try and schedule fixes on the servers, which puts Live down, while they have trials of games? Also, it makes more sense to give people more time with the game if they want them to buy it after the trial ends!

Hello! I am so angry because they put a free weekend for Hunt:Showdown and I couldnt enjoy it anymore. It has taken me 1 and a half weekend to download for only a 45 min play.

Once I wanted to play it Monday 7pm they automatically schedule making down their system in order to shortcut their supposed free weekend.

It is like (Now your free time has gone so if you still wanna play so buy it!). As the people paid for buying their games Microsoft Unlocked a region by removing their supposed crash.

I am sure they have people thinking in the same way in their organization. I would like to throw away my console at garbage and remove my membership!

I am and an Ambassador for Xbox, and I have looked into this personally for you, as I can tell how upset you are by reading your post.

Firstly don't throw your Console away Blackv43!

Let's not make any rash decisions that you may regret please.

It sounds like you would maybe benefit from stepping back and take a small break from your Xbox just for a little while, if it is causing you this much extreme stress and frustration.

Alternatively, you could prepare some coping strategies to help you stay calm for when these high stress 'situations' happens, your mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical wellbeing.

+ Your console will have more chance of survival and be there ready and waiting for you once you are feeling somewhat better and a little more calm.

I am Disabled UK Military Veteran and on top of many other things, I am also an insomniac (a real one).

I were online over that whole weekend, and I too downloaded Hunt.

As I have not been well, I had spent the entire weekend online, all weekend, Day and Night in front of my X1X.

The Service did not go down.

I understand how frustrating it can be to miss out on playing a game you really wanted to play, we have all been there as gamers.

I have however checked up on this for you Blackv43.

Xbox Live did not have any major outages on the weekend that coincided with the 'Free Play Weekend' title Hunt: Showdown.

In addition Xbox do not schedule server downtime especially during Events, and Xbox servers have been online and live for the entire duration of the Event.

Xbox has an extremely strong & positive record when it comes to consistency, servers and downtime.

(So I don't think it's fair to take it out on your innocent Xbox)

As this is not likely a problem caused by Xbox, there is still the possibility that the problem came from Crytek & Hunt: Showdown's end.

Hunt: Showdown did make multiple posts on Twitter with a clear warning on the

4th, 7th/8th, & 11th

that the servers will be shut down for Updates & Maintenance.

If the dates coincide then this creates a strong case that the problems you have experienced was something to do with Hunt:Showdown.

As for fixing the slow download speeds.

If it is not the fault of Hunt: Showdown, or even very heavy local Internet traffic, then it may have been your connection.

I personally downloaded Hunt before the event, it was without problem and there has not been an unusual spike in reports or complaints on this matter, which makes it sound localised at least.

So I would first check to see if you have the same speeds on other games at the same time of the week you had problems.

You may also have to begin the job of optimising your setup.

It is always worth starting with your isp to check that you have the latest router settings, you have your login details if needed and that you are not being throttled. Also check to see if IPv6 is available for you & if Fibre is available if you are waiting.

(Obviously Fibre broadband is recommended if installed in your area.)

After that start going through your router and optimising it, there is a page on the xbox site that can help you with that.

Also try to use a wired connection via ethernet (the shorter the cable distance the better), I am currently using a TP-link to send my ethernet through my sockets so I don't have to use a wireless connection and it is a lot faster.

Lastly please remember that this is a new game and has only just fully released, sometimes you have to cut them a little slack.

Xbox live doesn't have scheduled downtime to prevent you using a free trial. If there was an issue with Xbox live, it most likely wasn't planned.

However that doesn't mean the game itself didn't have scheduled maintenence which prevented play, but that isn't up to Microsoft /Xbox that is the game developers that are responsible.
