its official the fume knight is the hardest boss in the game, 98% of his fights end in your death, I tried to solo this guy for bout sixty fights and got my *** kicked everytime, I had to renew my gold membership and summon help , beat him second go, hes
not so bad if you have a good summon , but boy hes a handful solo, I have helped about 30 people beat him as a sunbro, and have enjoyed every time he dies. getting to know his moves pretty well now , but he still kills me once in a while. very tough customer.

and the stats come from google via Bandai Namco online infro. how do you go against him honestly

No sir, you are straight up sniffing the glue fumes on this one.

 

What I do is I circle him and go to my right (his left). Roll the first swing of his straight sword, and then strafe him. If he does any UGS attacks, roll under them towards the attack. Once he's done attacking, hit him during his recovery.

Once he buffs, the strategy is largely the same. Rolling to the right, his left side, and slightly past him will allow you to avoid most of his attacks. When he does his slow fire sword sweep, roll through the blade (stay close to his right leg when you
do it) and then get a hit or two in before rolling away). When he does his AoE, back up as much as possible and look for a break in the fireballs, then run/roll through that.

I tend to use fast-hitting weapons. On my sl1 I used the rapier which allowed me to get in a couple hits sometimes when slower weapons might only get 1 hit, and with the Leo Ring I can do some good damage.
