Full Hard Drive

i got my Xbox One about a month ago and I already have seversl games installed to it, including the two AC games that were bundled in. It's become increasingly clear this internal hard drive is going to fill fast. With me having little knowledge with external
drives, how do I work around my issue? I realize I can uninstall games I'm not currently playing, which is fine, but what happens with my game saves? I read that people have been using the cloud, but once again I have never used it and know nothing of how
it works.

One of my biggest worries is overwriting or deleting my game saves. Any help you can give me with using an external drive and the cloud is much appreciated.

How full is your hard drive? As hard drives get full they get slow. This is just an idea though.

If you own every release title then you have a full hard drive.

 

As I understand, the cloud is automatic, so right this very moment you could sign-in on another console and when you boot the game up it will say 'syncing data for XXX' which is basically retrieving your saves from the cloud.

I can also confirm that I have uninstalled and reinstalled games with my progress in tact, so if you didn't want to use an external hard drive you could just keep deleting and installing.

I'm at the stage myself where I need to look into an external as I've deleted a lot of games off the hard drive. For more info on storage on the Xbox One, see here:

your games and progress are cloud stored automatically. No need to to do anything there. Same reason why you can walk to a friends house, sign in and pick up exactly where you left off. Not like the 360 where you had that 20 minute wait to gather your account.

You can just get an external if you want to increase your storage...and I suggest just moving all your games to it. There are drives that are faster and more efficient than the OEM one installed in the console. There tons of sites online and here as well
rating the different drives.

 

I agree with tohellnbak - get an external drive.

It's really simple to setup, as soon as you plug it in the X1 will format it (very quickly) and allow you to set it as your default destination for new installs. You can even rename it - I prefer to leave it called "External". And these external USB 3.0
drive will be faster than the internal drive. Prices are pretty good too - I just bought a 4Gb drive for £110 (much bigger than needed to be honest)
