Full game download code unreadable

    Full game download code unreadable


    My brother would love to be playing Halo 5 right now. But apparently Microsoft’s support doesn't extend to Australia.



    He just unboxed his new Halo 5 Xbox One console and went to use the Halo 5 limited edition full game download code included with the bundle, but three numbers are damaged and can’t be read from the code. there is also no QR code to be scanned.



    The retailer (EB Games) wasn't able to replace the limited edition download code, as they are not sold separately, and the console bundle is not currently in stock.



    Microsoft support advised that they can’t provide him with a new code because the console bundle wasn’t purchased in the US. His only option is to pack up the $600 console bundle, return it to the retailer for a refund, and purchase a new console
    bundle elsewhere (if he can find one).



    After 11 years of supporting Microsoft consoles I can’t believe this is the best Microsoft can offer Australian consumers. Is there any community suggestions for how to obtain a replacement download code for Halo 5 limited edition from Microsoft?

    Unreadable disk downloaded game

    I have gotten a full game download card for skyrim and as soon as I went to new game it says unreadable disk and its a god dang download any one know how to fix this problem?

    Huge bummer to hear about the friend's code, sorry to hear that! For issues with codes purchased through other retailers I'm afraid we don't have replacements to provide regardless of region. Unfortunately returning to the retailer for an exchange is your
    friend's best option. Hope to hear he's able to find a console soon!

    We have the same issue with our code in the US. It tore off and left only 4 digits readable.

    I really don't see how this is the retailers issue to resolve. So the solution is that I have to repack the system and accessories that I spent over an hour installing.

    What about the other download content for other games my son already downloaded to this console? Foe example the Forza 6 10 yearanniversary code. Will that work again on a new console?

    I know you didn't want any solutions, but if you delete the game from your HDD (not your saves) and then clear your cache, then go into your download history and re-download the game, the issue should be fixed... I'm not sure whats causing it but there
    have been a lot of people reporting Game on Demand games asking for disks or getting disk read errors. The most common fix is to do the above and try playing the game again.
