Full downloaded game cannot be used by other profiles on my Xbox 360

Hi,

using my profile I downloaded the demo version of the game Juju. I then updated to the full version using an in-game purchase. When my kids use the console with their own accounts they are not able to use the full version - only the demo version. Is this
normal? Can the content be transferred? I thought that all members on the console can use the downloaded content? I remember that I had the same problem with Doritos Crash Course. I bought an add-on course for the game - this can only be used with my account
not with the other´s.

Minecraft and other gamer profiles

I have several gamer profiles on one xbox 360 for my children. But only the account that downloaded Minecraft seems to be able to play it. When another game tag on the same xbox trys it says unlock full game and wants to charge me. Is this normal?



I Thought if the game was on the same xbox that it could be used by another sign in prifile , All other games that have been downloaded work form one tag to another.

Full version of a game keeps reverting to the demo version.

I recently downloaded a demo and later that day the full version of the game was downloaded on another profile on my xbox 360. I deleted the demo game since I no longer needed it. When I go into my profile the game will initially show up as the full version,
but once I open the game it reverts to the demo version. All the other games on the console are able to be played on all profiles accept this one game. how do I remove this Demo for good so that I can play the full version on all profiles besides just the
profile it was downloaded on?

 

Now that you own the game, try to download it again. It could just be an oddity because of how you unlocked the full version. Typically, you should be able to play the game with any profile on the console that was used to purchase it. The reason that I suggest
downloading it again is that when you perform a license transfer to a new console, you'd have to download the game again, which only takes a few seconds if you don't actually delete the game first, in order to get the licensing information onto the new console.
I'm hoping that this same principle will hold true here and that by downloading the licensing information again, your game will work for the other profiles the way that it is supposed to.

 

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately this does not work. In a new console I added two profiles. With my profile I downloaded the game and it is completely unlocked. With the other account I have to purchase the full version. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

 

Just making sure that I'm on the same page here. You unlocked the full game using the same console that the other two profiles are on; is that right? Or did you download it again into a new console? If you downloaded it to a second, new console, make sure
to do a license transfer. You will likely have to do the download again, like I suggested above, because it you didn't transfer the license, that would be the issue.

 

By doing a license transfer to the Xbox (I do not know why I had to do this) everything seems to be good now. Thanks for the help!

 

The reason that you had to do a license transfer is that when you purchase content, it comes with two distinct licenses. The first licenses the content to your account, allowing you to use it on any console. The second licenses the content to the console
the purchase was made from (or from your regular console if purchased via the website) and this license allows any user of that console to use the content. This is the license that moves with a license transfer.

 

I understand the concept, but I downloaded the game to the console the first time when I bought it and only I was able to play the full version. So there was no license which had to be moved, because it was already on the console - however. It works now.
