FS2020 Premium Deluxe will not install on PC

FS2020 Standard installed, but it will not upgrade.

In the Windows 10 Microsoft App Store, an (i) symbol beside the Premium version says "Cannot install on this device". The PC is an i7 Windows 10 64 bit PC. FS2020 installed and runs fine on it.

It has been about a month now, but I cannot find a way to talk to Microsoft support - either by phone or by web-chat.

I have tried various "solutions", like the one in Powershell using GetXPackage to reset the installation. The command runs, but has no effect. I'm hoping to avoid reinstalling from scratch, because it's several hundred gigs of download, and because its a
problem in the app store, not the game, I am not sure it's going to help. I contacted FS2020 support, and they said that although they are aware of the issue (I'm not the only one), they couldn't do anything as the problem is in the App Store.

The store seems to be aware I have bought the Premium Deluxe version, as it's in my "library", but I cannot install it.

As neither Microsoft or the FS2020 seem able or willing to fix the issue, I wonder if anyone else has had this issue and knows how to fix it. Is there a way to fix it?

i have the same problem , the installation failed so i uninstalled it and now when i try to re-install it it wont see the drive i wish to install it in (even though there is 250GB free in that drive)

I was installing Microsoft FS2020 Premium Deluxe, download failed and now cannot redownload of a different drive

Hi, this method works for me however i think this was created for users or by users with another kind of FS2020 pack, for example i can't use the planes that come with the original Premium Deluxe package that i purchased.

is there a way to get the ISO file for the Premium Deluxe package?

I moved home and I'm waiting for the internet service to be installed so this is a great alternative to keep flying, a little limited but you can still fly.

same question for me : How do you completely uninstall FS2020 from Game Pass ?

Because I've got the Premium version of FS2020 and I can't see premium content after uninstall / install of new version.... I'm staying with basic version of the game and did not have premium contents...

Please help before i unsubscribe Game Pass

Hello sir.

I had that very same issue, and I need to ask you a couple of things. It is normal for the store to say “this product won’t work on this device”, because the “upgrades” aren’t games. They are just addons.

here is a fix for your errors.

1. Are you playing FS2020 on the account you bought the game from. When the game asks you to log in, are you logging into the same account you used to install?

2. Are you using FS2020 from game pass for PC? Game pass for pc only includes the standard edition.

Here is what you need to do in order for it to work.

1. Make sure that you when you log into your computer that you are using the same account you bought FS2020 premium deluxe on.

2. If you are in a Microsoft family, then make sure that your account isn’t a child one.

3. when FS2020 prompts you to log in to make it work, make sure that you are using the same account that you used to purchase FS2020.

Then it should work.
