fs2020 is not recognizing my microsoft sidwinder forced feedback2 joy

i have a microsoft sidewinder force feed back2 joy stick and can not get it too work spent a good deal of money on a good computer and the new flight sim2020 and would really love to fly this sim i am a little surprised the game does not see this joystick
as it is a microsoft product.

I have a Sidewinder Precision Pro and it is recognized by both my old system and FS 2020. When you go to the Controller Screen in FS 2020 does it show up? If it does, it won't have any mappings. You have to configure it yourself. Not surprising for an old
stick.

If it doesn't show up go to the Control Panel or Settings app and see if it is there. If isn't, then you have another problem. It might be in a USB 3.0 port instead of a 2.0 one. It should work but try moving it to a different USB port anyway. If Windows
recognizes it in any USB, right click on the device and test/calibrate it. If every thing is okay, go to FS 2020 and it should show up in your Controls. Just select it and start mapping each control.

if it were only that easy for some reason it just doesn't like the sidewinder any other ideas there tech bob

I know this is an old post, but even today there are issues with FS2020 recognizing and sometimes, like in my case, stop recognizing a USB controller all together.....

My Microsoft Force Feedback2 Joystick will not work. The program see the joystick as it shows the name and will allow me to calibrate. Will not function with any of the aircraft

Downloaded game NP. The program can see my Force Feed2 Joystick and will let me adjust it via the sensitivity tab under controls. The Sidewinder Force Feedback2 Joystick appears in the control tab. However nothing shows in the column underneath the tab
as you see in the Mouse and Keyboard Tabs. Have tried all the USB ports and the joystick will not work. It is an older Joystick. Also, looked for new drivers was not able to find.
